'HAND SANITIZER'

In this PANDEMIC period, we are enormously using so many disinfectants, antiseptic, etc. to prevent us from the disease-causing germs. It's in one of the forms that we use is called 'HAND SANITIZER'.

At first, let us know about what's the difference between antiseptic, and disinfectant.

ANTISEPTIC
It is applied to the living tissues to prevent the growth of microorganisms that cause infections or diseases. Antiseptics are typically found to have a lower concentration than the disinfectant as a high concentration of biocides causes irritations.

DISINFECTANT
It is applied on inanimate surfaces and Disinfectants work by destroying the cell wall of microbes or interfering with their metabolism. Some examples include Bleach, Formaldehyde, and Alcohols.

OKAY!!! Let's come to our topic.

HAND SANITIZERS comes in different forms like gel, liquid, and foams. It is meant to be used directly onto the skin without adding water and doesn't need rinsing. Most of the sanitizers contain an alcohol-based ingredient like rubbing alcohol or ethanol.

You've seen that most of the sanitizers say it kills 99.9% of germs. It's true when tested on inanimate surfaces. But when it comes to the hand it mostly depends on the amount and how much you rub throughout the areas. It is not that effective when your hands are particularly dirty or grimy and also when you use the hand sanitizer which contains less than 60% alcohol content.

Alcohols destroy the microbial cells. The concentration of rubbing alcohol is very effective in killing germs than 100% because it contains little amount of water in it which improves penetration. The sanitizers disrupt the virus's outer coat and for the bacterium, it disrupts its cell membrane.

Hand sanitizers are not effective at killing certain kinds of germs like such as norovirus and Clostridium difficile. It is not as effective as soap and water. In most healthcare settings soap and water are preferred because it is being better tolerated and more effective.

Alcohols are considered safe when used as an antiseptic and have no toxicity on the skin. But repeated use of it may cause mild irritation and dryness.

EXPIRATION
Hand sanitizers do not expire. But still, it has the expiry date on its bottle as you can see. Because it is regulated by the FDA which requires certain information that needs to be printed. Alcohols are shelf-stable chemicals which means that when it is kept in a sealed container at room temperature its concentration remains the same over a long period of time.

So use sanitizer and keep washing your hands using soap and water. Follow good habits and stay healthy.

Camouflage Architecture

We are in the huge development of the technologies. But what about the architecture? What is the improvement in it? What's the recent research going on architecture? So here the topic called camouflage architecture . Camouflage describes a set of principles concerned with the nature and appreciation of beauty. The conversation inside the architectural Place–character hypothesis has taken a move. With conventional structures of the character holding less an incentive to society, and symbolism getting increasingly predominant, new models of place–character are important. This is comparative with a diminishing Nationalist viewpoint and an expanding investigation of the Post–Modern.  Furthermore, this idea includes been spread inside the urban setting since the First World War as an astute arrangement with the space to accomplish the most extreme advantage with minimal measure of misfortune. So the analyst put speculation that nowadays there are different parts of disguise which c...

Zero Point Energy

The energy consumption of the world was about 13.3 billion toe (ton of oil equivalent) by the 2016 data on energy consumption and population. We now have the world average consumption of 57 kWh of primary energy per day per person. So we are in huge demand for energy. A lot and a lot and a lot more... So how about grasping the energy from the thin air? We were taught that the vacuum is an empty space. Remember? But that's not exactly true. As if you dive deeper into the quantum world, below the level of molecules, atoms, electrons, protons, and subatomic particles like quarks and more and more the vacuum is not truly empty. It's randomly pops in and out of existence and the most important thing is that they generate energy.                  Whats exactly does Zero Point Energy mean?   It can be formulated in different ways, but to be simple it is the lowest yet non-zero energy of a quantum mechanical system. The ZPE  has taken into ...
