Scientists believe that “ Once Mars too had an atmosphere just like Earth and had all the elements like water, other essentials ” a few million years ago. But something happened, which turned the Mars into a dusty planet what we see today. So they believe, studying Mars can help us in understanding the atmosphere and climate formation of our planet Earth.
What is Hope Mars Mission 2020?
The Emirates Mars Mission "Hope Probe (heavy satellite)" it will be the first satellite that will provide the full information about the Atmosphere of Mars and will give full analysis about the Climate of the Mars. It will help answer key questions about the loss of hydrogen and oxygen gases into space over the span of one Martian year. One Martian year is equal to the 687 days on the earth.
Question:-“There were many heavy satellite missions to Mars, which can give a weather report then what is the specialty of this ?”
Answer:- Most of the Mars mission heavy satellites will take the information about the weather for only a few days and with regular intervals which are too long, and study only a part of the mars. And this data won’t be sufficient to know about the second-smallest planet in the solar system. This satellite is designed to study the whole planet, this study helps in making changes in the Manned missions to Mars.
More details about the launch...
The Emirates Mars Mission is a planned space exploration mission to Mars set to launch the Hope orbiter on 14 July 2020. It was built by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, an Emirati space organization, as well as the University of Colorado Boulder, Arizona State University, and the University of California, Berkeley. This mission is being made by the Emirati engineers with the support of the foreign research institutions, by UAE. Hope is scheduled to reach Mars in February 2021, which meet the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates' formation.

Hope has a much deeper meaning, than what we think this mission was announced by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, in July 2014. the main aim of this mission is that it is the first Mars space mission that was taken by UAE, If successful, it would become the first mission to Mars by any West Asian, Arab or Muslim majority country. This gives hope and new opportunities to the Arab people in space exploration. And the data collected from the probe will be share with more than 200 universities around the world.
The name Hope was chosen because "it sends a message of optimism to millions of young Arabs", according to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of the emirate of Dubai for whom the lead space centre, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), of the United Arab Emirates is named.
Quick FACTS about this mission
The average age of the people working in this mission is around 27 when the mission was started.
It will be the first probe that studies the whole Mars climate.
34% of the crew working in this mission were a woman.
The expected travel time of the Hope heavy satellite is about 200 days on its journey of 60 million kilometers.

Satellites are enormous in space and we are sending more and more and it causes space debris. To know more check it out - Junk in Space and also we are in demand of resources, so how about the asteroid exploitation.
